Math and Science Through Technology

Description of Programs:
Walter Bracken Magnet Empowerment School students participate in an elementary curriculum with special emphasis on science, mathematics, and technology. Learning labs focused on earth, life, and physical sciences are used to enrich the curriculum and add hands-on experiences. In two computer labs and classrooms, students have access to modern technology for data collection, analysis, interpretation, and publication. Technology is thoroughly integrated at Bracken and is an integral part of daily instruction. Outdoor gardens and tortoise habitats provide additional learning environments for hands-on discovery. Parent and community support are abundant at Bracken and provide our students with an optimal learning environment.
