Description of Programs:
Students at Gilbert Magnet School for Communication and Creative Arts engage in an innovative, challenging, integrated instructional program designed to develop strong communication skills while enhancing each child's creativity. Gilbert provides a distinctive program designed to integrate music, art, PE/movement, drama and broadcast communication components into the entire curriculum. Learning at Gilbert is a multi-media and multi-modal experience. The school is equipped with a dance studio, a 450 seat theater and a state-of-the-art television studio. Studio and performance experiences increase oral and written communication skills. Students learn various facets of television production, performance, and technical theater skills. These experiences offer Gilbert students a true fine arts and a strong academic education that will help them become better thinkers, communicators, and more confident and self-assured in all their interactions.
