Description of Programs:
New Career & Technical Academy at 2531 Vegas Dr. will open in 2009 - 2010 with 9th and 10th grade students and will house seven hundred students at capacity. This four year comprehensive career and technical academy will provide students an opportunity to choose a high school program of study with a focus on occupational areas of interest. Career academies provide technical skills, relevant academic education and hands-on training that lead to employment and/or postsecondary education. The following pathways will be offered: Law Enforcement Services - Police Officer, Police, Fire & Ambulance Dispatcher and Crime Scene Analyst (CSI); Emergency & Fire Management Services - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); Security & Protective Services - Computer Forensics Specialist.
