PAYBAC Program Presentations and Guidelines

School Selection

Each school year, middle schools that have a student population of 55 percent or higher that receive free and reduced lunch, are eligible to host a PAYBAC Program at their school. Some schools request that the program be held at their middle school to ensure that students hear messages from community members about the importance of staying in school and focus on their career and life goals.

The purpose of the PAYBAC program is to motivate our youth to stay in school. It is hoped that these young people will continue their education or training so that they will achieve meaningful employment and enjoy a fruitful and productive life.

Each of you is expected to tell your story to a group of students. Your story should include items such as (1) your level of achievement, (2) your plans and opportunities in the future, and (3) what it means to continue your education to reach those goals.

Not all young people will achieve a college education, but it is important that they understand that they should aspire to the highest level of education they can attain.
