The Leadership Development Department provides a continuum of professional development programs at three different levels:
- Aspiring Administrators – A seventeen week leadership training program is provided for teachers who are interested in becoming an administrator in the Clark County School District. The purpose of the program is to provide candidates with a broad perspective of district specific programs, initiatives and expectations in preparation for entry level administrative positions.
- Beginning Administrators – Initial service administrators participate in a two year professional development program focusing on supervision and evaluation of staff, curriculum and instructional strategies and programs, and results-driven school improvement planning.
- Experienced Administrators – Training programs for experienced administrators vary from year to year based on current needs, trends, and district and legislative initiatives. Trainings are offered in cooperation with the Curriculum and Professional Development Division, Southern Nevada Regional Professional Development Program, and the Nevada Association of School Administrators.
