Meeting Individual Needs in Literacy

Our curriculum-based school libraries are crucial in the role of meeting
individual student’s literacy needs.  Librarians, in collaboration with classroom teachers, teach specific library skills.  These skills include a wide range of research strategies for utilizing print and electronic resources.

Students are also provided a multitude of opportunities to practice their reading skills with a wide variety of high interest fiction and nonfiction materials, in a comfortable environment.
