Try to get as much information as possible about the other party involved in the accident. Do not discuss fault with anyone other than law enforcement and Risk Management representative. Make sure you complete a Drivers Report of Accident (CCF-102) within 24hrs of the accident. Refer any questions regarding property damage or injury to Risk Management.

These are different for "within" and for "outside" the state. The school district is offered a special rate which includes insurance coverage per a negotiated contract. Only approved vendors should be used. NOTE: Under no circumstances should a 10 or 15 passenger van be rented or used.

However, when the property is off site and in someone else’s care, then the personal policy(ies) of the person would be primary.

As long as CCSD has a record of receipt of the specific items, including serial numbers, they would be covered by the property insurance pursuant to the excess insurance policy specifications. All components of computer systems must be listed in the site inventory records.

Notify Risk Management if a large area of damage exists. Inventory all lost or damaged items. Notify your School Associate Superintendent (SAS) and your Operations Manager (OM) of the loss and document all work orders and other repair costs. Once the work is completed, forward all documentation to Risk Management. Risk Management will review for possible reimbursement. When in doubt, call Risk Management for information.

Whether there is an injury or not, do the following: Download and complete the CCSD Notice of Accident, Personal Injury/Property Damage form from this website and forward immediately to Risk Management. Identify witnesses, secure written statements from them, and contact Maintenance if any unsafe condition exists. Photos of the alleged incident are also extremely helpful. Forward all information to Risk Management.
