The Budget Department, guided by ethics, accountability, and open communication is committed to providing sound financial planning to ensure effective decision making in support of the District's educational and financial goals.

The Clark County School District's 2006-2007 Budget and Statistical Report received the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) Meritorious Budget Award.

This accomplishment is a tribute to the dedicated and hard working individuals within the Budget Department. This is a highly regarded accomplishment in that this was the first year the District had submitted the Report to ASBO. To receive the award in the first year submitted is truly an accomplishment. More often than not, school districts have to submit multiple years before receiving the award for the first time. CCSD's Budget Department joins an elite group of school districts to receive the award from both ASBO and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
