CCSD holds its first summer commencement

The Clark County School District (CCSD) held its first summer commencement ceremony at the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts on Aug. 15, 2012. The ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of students who possessed the determination to complete the necessary credit requirements and remaining Nevada High School Proficiency Exams during the summer to earn high school diplomas. Approximately 230 students walked across the stage. Another 84 students earned their diplomas over the summer and opted to participate in their school's June commencement ceremony.
