Superintendent issues statement on NCLB action

In a statement released Aug. 8, 2012, Clark County School District (CCSD) Superintendent Dwight D. Jones discussed the U.S. Department of Education’s approval of Nevada’s request for No Child Left Behind (NCLB) flexibility. In part, Jones said, “The District views this as a helpful improvement over the NCLB guidelines and Adequate Yearly Progress. The state’s approach follows the same path blazed by CCSD with an emphasis on the Nevada Growth Model and the School Performance Framework.”
