Namesakes of Frias ES to receive Lifetime Education Award

The namesakes of Charles and Phyllis Frias Elementary School will be honored at the Public Education Foundation's 16th Annual Education Award Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012 at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas. As reported by Parents Guide magazine, Mr. and Mrs. Frias will receive the foundation's Lifetime Education Award for their enduring commitment to improve public education. During the Sept. 22 event, the foundation also will honor Mark Fine and Annemarie L. Jones. Fine is a co-founder of CCSD's School-Community Partnership Program and Jones is active on several nonprofit boards including the Lied Discovery Children's Museum's Board of Trustees.
