MVHS students excel at Winnemucca rodeo

Moapa Valley High School students Taylor Schwartz of Logandale and Aspyn Civil of Moapa competed in the 2012 Silver State International Rodeo in Winnemucca, starting July 2, 2012. Schwartz, a 2012 graduate, competed in the Bareback Riding event, splitting 2^nd place in the first go with two other riders. Civil, a junior at MVHS,  competed in four events including Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, Pole Bending and Team Roping. As reported by the Moapa Valley Progress, she the All-Around Cowgirl prize, the event’s highest award. Civil also won a new horse trailer and a roping saddle.
