Preparatory Institute School for Academic Excellence at Charles I. West Hall
Formerly known as Charles I. West Middle School, the Preparatory Institute School for Academic Excellence at Charles I. West Hall, West Prep, offers a small scale educational environment for students. For the 2006/2007 school year, West Prep was reconstituted at all levels. As a result of the process, energetic, engaging, and content-driven professionals were hired to improve student achievement. Several components make West Prep a unique school. West Prep has implemented a full K-12 grade configuration for the 2009/2010 school year. West Prep offers smaller class sizes, standard student attire, a High School Success Academy to promote student leadership, a third semester in the summer, an extended school day, an extended school week, and gender-based classes.
