Maintenance Division

Maintenance includes a wide range of areas that most people don’t realize. It includes audio-visual, electronic, alarm systems, locksmith, musical instrument, and duplication equipment; carpet, carpentry, glazing, painting, and roofing; plumbing, boiler, electric, energy control, air-conditioning, and building engineer services; asphalt, concrete, fabrication, athletic and playground equipment, furniture repair, and fencing; and two-way voice intercoms, master/secondary synchronized clocks. Presently there are four zonal maintenance crews and four mobile maintenance vans that provide increased efficiency and responsiveness to the department.

The Work Management Center is responsible for approval, planning and scheduling of work to be performed by the Maintenance Department shops: supervising the Maintenance Dispatch Center, all work management with the Maximo Work Order System, training, ISO certifications and documented procedures; assets updates in each facility; and identifying and tracking warranty repairs. Through our work order system seasonal preventative maintenance work orders are also dispatched to promote asset lifecycles and increase asset efficiency.
