Real Property Management

Protects and manages the district’s real property and recommends new school needs and site locations. Real Property Management facilitates and manages the sale, acquisition, and lease of real property. They accomplish this by using information from demographics, city and county planning maps, and listening to community concerns, and facility needs. Real Property evaluates and recommends changes of current and future properties to maximize utilization of the funding sources.  Real Property also monitors and coordinates with public agencies for use of the district property in accordance with the “Open Doors-Opens Schools” agreement, and cooperative agreements with the CCSD and UNLV.

They also represent the district at town board, planning commission, county commission, and city council meetings to address matters affecting district property; including, district requests for new construction projects, and impacts to existing district property from area development. Real Property completes analysis of any property considered for lease or acquisition and requests for easements or rights-of-way across district property and coordinates activities related to the escrow process and acquisition of Bureau of Land management (BLM) property.
