The
following information is required to complete your applicant
file before a final employment decision can be made.
1. INTERVIEW
- Interviews are conducted in Las Vegas, or you may visit our Recruitment Schedule to find a location near you. Interviews may also be condcuted via telephone. (Interviews will not be scheduled until an application has been submitted.)
2.
A SIGNED PRINTED COPY OF YOUR APPLICATION
- You must include a handwritten answer to question #8 on the application.
3. ORIGINAL TRANSCRIPTS WITH DEGREE POSTED

Copies are accepted temporarily.

If you are still in school, submit a transcript up
to current semester, then submit an additional transcript
as soon as the degree is conferred.

4.
THREE CONFIDENTIAL REFERENCE FORMS RECEIVED FROM SUPERVISORY
ADMINISTRATORS
We send confidential reference forms to the names you provide
as soon as your application is submitted. These individuals
must have supervised you in a classroom setting
(master teacher, university supervisor, principal, assistant
principal). All information must be current and complete (zip
code, telephone, fax numbers and email address, etc.) Experienced
teachers must include their most recent principal.
5.
STUDENT TEACHING EVALUATIONS – if you have
less than 3 years of contracted teaching experience.
6.
COPY OF CURRENT TEACHING LICENSE AND HIGHLY QUALIFIED STATUS (if applicable)
7.
A COPY OF ALL TEST RESULTS (if applicable CBEST, PPST, and/or Praxis II)

TUBERCULOSIS
TEST
Both the Clark County School District and the Nevada State
Department of Education require submission of evidence of
freedom from TB (chest X-ray or TB skin test) before a contract
is valid or license can be issued. ONLY results of a mantoux
skin test (intradermal PPD) or chest X-ray taken within 12
months of the date of your “offer of employment”
and/or submission of licensure application will be accepted.
FINGERPRINTING
In accordance with Nevada law and Clark County School District
regulations, all new employees must be fingerprinted.
As indicated in the “offer of employment”, there
will be a one-time deduction from your first paycheck for
the processing fee charged by the FBI to obtain final clearance
of your fingerprint records. This is not the fee that is charged by CCSD School Police for the actual “rolling” of your fingerprints.
If you are attempting to license in Nevada for the first time,
the Nevada State Department of Education will also require you
to be fingerprinted.
