CCSLA: What do Library Media Specialists do?

Are you a vendor who would like to simultaneously support the CCSLA and spread the word about your product or service to school librarians? The Clark County School District has over 300 school libraries, and they can all be reached through the Clark County School Librarians Association. There are many ways that vendors can be involved in our organization.

The Vendor Fair

The vendor fair is an annual event that directly connects what vendors do with school librarians. Instead of contacting librarians individually (which can be time consuming and annoying to library media specialists), this is a chance to share your product or service with hundreds of potential clients. The event is typically held in a local casino's meeting room. The essence of the event is that vendors rent tables and share their products as librarians circulate around the room. The Banquet

The Clark County School Librarians Association banquet is held once a year to promote the library profession through networking with colleagues, to recognize the service of retiring librarians, and to celebrate the service and achievements of Clark County School District librarians and administrators. The banquet is always held in May.

Platinum donation: Cash donation of $750 or more. The vendor's name is included in the program recognizing the vendor as a Platinum Supporter and the vendor is invited to the banquet as our guest.

Gold donation: Cash donation of $500-749. The vendor's name is included in the program recognizing the vendor as a Gold Supporter and the vendor is invited to the banquet as our guest.

Silver donation (for door prizes): Books or items librarians can use in their libraries (puppets, decorative items, gift certificates, etc.). The vendor's name is included in the program recognizing the vendor as a Silver Supporter, a vendor who donates items with a value of $250 or more is invited to the banquet as our guest.
