Welcome to the Clark County School District School-Community Partnership Program Web site. Thank you for your interest in learning more about partnership opportunities. Schools, businesses, community organizations and parents can use this web site to access information on how to partner with CCSD.
How can a business partner with schools?
There are several ways a business can partner with the Clark County Schools District (CCSD). Currently the Clark County School District partners with hundreds of public and private sector partners. These partnerships provide resources and curriculum-based opportunities to CCSD students, staff, and parents. These programs allow business and community members to connect schools with resources thus providing literacy, math, social studies, finance, fine arts, science, health, and physical education experiences to students who may otherwise not have the opportunity. The result is a richer educational experience while preparing our students to be well-rounded citizens.

How can businesses partner with the Clark County School District?
The School-Community Partnership Program began in 1983 as a pilot program of seven schools partnered with seven businesses and has expanded to hundreds of thriving partnerships. The Focus School Project which matches high-risk CCSD schools one-on-one with businesses, organizations, agencies, and individuals to bring needed resources to our highest need schools thus assisting the student in being ready by exit.

How can an individual or business become involved in the Stay in School Mentoring Project?
The Stay in School Mentoring Project is a cooperative endeavor of professionals in the community and the Clark County School District. The goal of the program is to offer support and guidance to middle school students who are at risk of dropping out of school. Mentors are asked to make a commitment of one school year, meeting with their mentee for one hour per week at the school site.

How can an individual or business become involved as a mentor in the Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project?
The Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project is a new project created as a follow up to the Reclaim Your Future campaign. The Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project hopes to empower high school seniors in our community to make positive life choices that will enable them to maximize their potential. The project uses adult volunteers to support and guide youth one hour per week for the school year. For more information on being a mentor go to Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project.
How can I get information about speaking or presenting to students?
Through the Professionals and Youth Building a Commitment (PAYBAC) program, middle school and alternative high school students hear messages from a very diverse group of community volunteers on the importance of continuing their education, goal setting, overcoming obstacles, and making plans for their future.

How can I volunteer in a school?
The Clark County School District is always in need of volunteers. Through collaboration with the United Way of Southern Nevada, interested volunteers can visit the UWSN HandsOn Nevada Volunteer Web site and find specific listings of events and opportunities that need volunteers. How can I sponsor a CCSD event or program?
There are always events happening in the Clark County School District and our partnering sponsors play a very meaningful role in making these programs successful. How do I donate goods and materials to a school?
The Clark County School District schools are always interested in receiving donations, but needs vary depending on the grade level and school community. For a listing of the current wish list of CCSD schools please click the following link, Support a School.
The Teacher's Exchange will accept donations of re-useable and recyclable materials, new and used supplies, surplus materials, and various office equipment. These donated items are available to all CCSD licensed teachers. For more information please visit their Web site.
The Clark County School District also works with two organizations that refurbish computers for students in our high need schools. Computers For Kids, Inc. (CFK) is very conscious of keeping electronic equipment out of the landfill and strives to be a good environmental steward, utilizing all that can be refurbished, and properly recycling the rest. CFK believes in community responsibility to reuse existing product, provide for others, and recycle properly. In addition, this program fosters community responsibility. CFK's recycle program provides to businesses and individuals a computer disposal option other than the local landfill. You can also visit the OutlookFoundation's Web site. The Outlook Foundation will repurpose computers and give them to children in need, helping ensure all children have the same opportunities in education and to military personnel being deployed and their families so we can help bridge the communication gap that they would face otherwise.
