Orr MS students raise $444 for LV Rescue Mission

Orr Middle School held a "Miracle Minute" to raise money for the Las Vegas Rescue Mission. Students raised $444 in just one minute. The school will present the donation to the Rescue Mission on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 3:20 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Local businesses volunteer at McCall Elem. School

Quannah McCall Elementary School received huge support on National Make A Difference Day from Luxor, Circus Circus and Monte Carlo. Over 80 volunteers worked to beautify McCall's campus October 24. They also painted over 500 pumpkins that students were allowed to take home the following week.

A-Tech’s Key Club has been ranked #1 by Key Club International Region 5 in total "Phoenix Points" earned. Members earn these points by donating items during drives, attending meetings and participating in service projects. The more service they do, the more points they earn.

The women's volleyball teams at Centennial and Palo Verde High Schools raised $8400 to support the Side Out Foundation Dig Pink Fundraiser to raise awareness regarding breast cancer. Centennial raised $5100 and Palo Verde collected $3300 in a friendly competition between the two schools.
