Regulation 5124

The credit by examination procedure is an opportunity for the advanced student to progress at the student’s own learning rate.  Credit is to be awarded on demonstrated competence through an examination process.

Credit-by-Exam is available only to high school students who have never attempted the course for which a test is offered or who are not currently enrolled in the class. 

• A student may earn external credit by taking an exam and demonstrating proficiency with a score of 80% or better. 
• Students may not use required course exams for elective credit. 
• Seniors may not take exams after the end of the third nine weeks.

English I, II, III and IV

Spanish I, II, III, and IV*

*Language exams are full credits, not ½ credit
