We are happy to have the 2008-2009 school year off to a great start. While navigating through this website, we hope that you-- students, parents, and teachers-- will be able to successfully find any information about Arbor View High School. However, we ask you to understand that this is a brand new website, and it will only get better with feedback from our users. If you have any suggestions, questions, or problems you want to be addressed about the website, please e-mail Mr. Mayo. All other school related concerns and questions, please e-mail Lynda Frawley.
The Clark County School District has a closed campus policy. This means that students may not leave the building without staff approval. This includes the parking lot. If a student is caught off campus, he or she will be referred to the deans' office and be subject to search. Cars are not to be used as a locker, and retrieving items from a car is not an excuse to be in the parking lot. If a student is not feeling well and wishes to go home, he or she must check out from the health office.
As with any new program, we are experiencing "technical difficulties" with the ParentLink communication system. Recently, it was discovered there is a problem with how ParentLink reports grades. The school district is actively working with ParentLink to resolve this issue (as well as others). The process of transferring grades from the gradebook used by teachers to the ParentLink program is corrupt. Teachers have no control over this automated system. If you have questions about the grades you see in the ParentLink system, please communicate directly with the teacher via their email to address your concerns. For any questions concerning the ParentLink system, click on this ParentLink brochure or e-mail Alicia Demille or call extension 4300.
