N.J.H.S.’s purpose at Bailey is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, to develop character, and to encourage good citizenship. We are looking for students who hold a 3.2 G.P.A. or better, who display outstanding citizenship and who strive to make a difference in our school and community.

This year our chapter of N.J.H.S. has engaged in community service hours to fulfill this chapter goal of service. This year our chapter will be helping the neighborhood around Bailey, Hickey Elementary, William H. “Bob” Bailey Middle School staff and student population, as well as community food kitchens and local law enforcement offices. These service hours will help to develop a sense of dignity and responsibility within our members as they help the community around our school.

Our members serve as role models to the other students of the school helping them aim for the goal of service and scholarship.
