Community Partnership at the Northwest Career and Technical Academy is a link with students and the Las Vegas Community. Maintenance of the Job Bank, Prep, counsel, and referring students for employment are part of the responsibilities of the Community Partnership Coordinator. Other responsibilities include, monitoring and evaluating Work Experience and Exploratory Work Experience students, conduct school-wide vocational assessment (i.e. ASVAB), conduct employability workshops for vocational areas on an as-needed basis, communicate current events and the development of new partnerships to the administration. In addition, Mr. Philippi markets the school to all media (print, broadcast, and specialty), assists instructors in the development of school-to-careers activities (i.e. internships, job shadows, fundraising/promotional opportunities, etc.), and conducts and coordinates activities for the Scholarship Golf Tournament.
