The mission of Cheyenne High School is to prepare students academically and socially, enabling them to be well equipped to pursue their goals and become successful members of our diverse and changing technological society.

Unique Aspects Specific to Cheyenne

Mandarin Chinese Program - Only school in the district to offer Chinese language program.

Algerian Program - One of ten high schools in America to parter with an Algerian school to promote diplomacy.

Russian Program - Program designed to interact with Russian school on Russia/American historical issues.

Standard Student Attire - Implemented to maintain a standard dress code to promote behavioral and academic excellence.

Single Sex Instruction - Gender specific classes for all 9th & 10th grade core classes to enhance student achievement.

The Teacher Mentor Program - On-campus mentoring program designed to help new teachers with classroom management & teaching strategies.

Student Support Programs - S.T.E.P. (Student To Teacher Enlistment Project) Dual enrollment college preparatory program to assist students in becoming potential teachers. AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination) Incorporates teaching methodologies and strategies to assist students and prepare them for college.
