Who will benefit from this program? YOU -If you will be a high school junior or senior in the 2008-2009 school year and want to get a head start on your college career - for FREE!!! The Clark County School District pays for up to twelve (12) credits per semester.
This program is designed to provide a smooth transition from high school to college. Our school provides a combination of high school and college credits through an agreement between the Clark County School District and the College of Southern Nevada. High school juniors and seniors who are accepted at CSNHS take all of their classes at one of the three CSN campuses. Students in our program take their high school classes with CCSD high school teachers, and their college classes with college instructors, all on the college campus.
Students receive full college credit and one half (.5) elective high school credit for each of their college classes. Students may take English, social studies, and math as high school classes at scheduled times and must take at least two (2) college classes scheduled at their convenience. Our school offers smaller classes, individualized instruction, flexible scheduling, and an opportunity to advance your academic career. In addition, each campus has a full time high school counselor and a full time office staff.
