All the World's a Stage!
Drama instruction is based on the premise that
drama is both a creative art and a learning tool. In drama workshops,
students improvise scenes, develop characters through role play, and
develop communication skills. Gilbert hosts
two all-school performance days in each year where each child has the
opportunity to be involved. This winter’s performance took place in our 418 seat state-of-the-art theatre, the only one of its kind for an
elementary school in Clark County.
Stratford upon Cartier, our annual Shakespeare Festival, is the
culmination of a thematic unit. Students perform plays and a green
show. They are also involved in every aspect backstage from props to
lighting and sound.
