SUPER STAR RunsThe Gilbert students are concentrating on fitness! In an effort to help students take responsibility for their own fitness, Gilbert has a program called SUPER STARS. This past September, Gilbert broke a record by having 198 students qualify for the Super Star Fun Run. It was the largest number of students ever qualifying in Gilbert history and it means that almost ONE-HALF of the Gilbert student population qualified.Students must collect 20 laps around the field on their OWN time. When they complete their laps, they get to participate in the monthly Super Star run through the halls with Mrs. Murray. This is a real treat, since running and yelling and celebrating down the hallway would be frowned upon any other time!
