 Learning
at Gilbert Magnet School is a multi-media as well as a multi-modal experience.
Students use the latest technology to prepare them for communicating in the
twenty-first century. The school is equipped with a television studio utilizing
the most recent developments in digital production techniques. Students use
experiences in the studio to improve oral and written
communication skills while learning the many facets of television production.
Reading is improved as students move through the television curriculum. The school’s computer system is
networked so students can access the "information highway" under the
watchful eyes of their teachers.
 Each
classroom is equipped with at least three computers and a laser printer. The school
computer lab is available for whole group instruction. All computers are
equipped with audio and video-editing software, and there are many developmentally
appropriate interactive materials in all curriculum areas.
