Winter Matinee 2008Saturday, December 13, 2008 The fifteenth annual Gilbert Winter Matinee Performances, under the direction of Melinda Myers, took place in the Gilbert Magnet School Eshelman Theatre on Saturday, December 13, 2007. The first grade students performed "Tacky the Penguin" by Helen Lester, adapted by Judy Murrayand Wendy Payer. The second grade students performed "The Littlest Reindeer" by John Jacobson and John Higgins. The Gilbert Magnet School Choir, directed by Kay Lehto and accompanied by Eddie Birch, sang a holiday music program. The third grade students performed "Madam President", book by Lane Smith, adapted by Melinda Myers. The fourth and fifth grade students combined to perform Disney's "Sleeping Beauty Kids", presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International, based on the 1959 Disney film "Sleeping Beauty" and the story "Sleeping Beauty in the Wood" by Charles Perrault.Here are some terrific pictures from today's
