Art Class

Mission Statement

The art program at Harley E. Harmon Elementary School is based upon the State of Nevada Curriculum Essentials Standards

and incorporates art history, criticism, aesthetics and production techniques.

The variety of media explored by the students includes drawing, ceramics, painting, printing, sculpture, collage and weaving.

We also have an expanded before school program for selected students to create art work for display throughout the school.

We study and learn about famous artists and cultural arts, artist styles

and related elements and principles of art and design.
