Hello! My name is Mrs. Cox and I am the new guidance
counselor! I am very excited about meeting all of our students
here at King and I welcome the opportunity to visit with you.
This year I will be coming into the classrooms and giving
guidance lessons on topics such as tolerating differences,
responsibility, decision making skills, and conflict
resolution. I will also be having the Red Ribbon Week program,
Peace Week, and a character education program called Cool Kids
Care.
This year I will also have small group counseling for students
who are trying to cope with a divorce, have anger issues, and
students who need help with better study skills. I will also be
available to work with individual students who are in a
situation where they need immediate counseling. I will be at
Martha P. King Elementary all day on Mondays and Wednesdays and
Friday morning until 11:00 AM. The other days I will be at
Mitchell Elementary.
