will usually
include the title of your paper (centered, large
font, size 20 pt.); then near the lower margin, (smaller font size 14

At the end of any paragraph containing information you didn’t know before (not only with quotations), show where you got that information by using a PARENTHETICAL CITATION. | At the end of your paper, on a separate page, put a listing of the sources you used. This page is called a WORKS CITED page or bibliography. The words, “Works Cited” should appear on the top of the page. This page is an alphabetical listing, by the author’s last name when known, of the sources you used. If there is no author listed, then alphabetize by the title (ignoring “a” and “the”). Put the first line of every entry flush with the margin and INDENT the second and subsequent lines of each citation. Double space entries. Questions? Use an MLA style guide. |
| Keep in mind that the body of your paper will be scored by the FOUR WRITING TRAITS: VOICE, ORGANIZATION, IDEA, and CONVENTIONS. Be sure to include an introductory paragraph as well as a satisfying conclusion. Want to know more? Check out this easy-to-read Web page describing the Writing Traits: Six Traits of Writing |
