Jacob E. Manch Elementary School is located
in northeast Las Vegas, Nevada. We are literally minutes away from Nellis Air Force Base. Our school was built in 1963 to service the children on the base.
Due to the ever increasing population in Las Vegas, we no longer service the base, but instead a diverse population in the surrounding community.
We are very excited to announce that after 44 years of service, our school has been selected for a new
building! The students, faculty and staff can not wait to see our new building which will be debuted in the 2008-2009 school year!
Lot's of great thought has been put into the design of the new school. Our staff has worked
closely with the architects to ensure that the new design will best meet the needs of our student population. The new building is on the cutting edge of construction
technologies. It is a "green" design that conserves energy and water that will help protect the environment and community we serve.
With all great things, there must be some costs. As the crews begin demolition of "old Manch"
and construction of "new Manch" we will unfortunately create some dust. There may also be times of road closures adjacent to the campus and heavy traffic due to construction
vehicles in the area. However, we feel the new building will be worth these minor inconveniences in the end!

Our Mission
The entire school community at Jacob E. Manch Elementary is committed to providing a high
quality, challenging, and culturally diverse curriculum for all students in a safe and respectful school environment that promotes student achievement.
