The ABC List of Things to Graph - Use Excel in the computer lab or just grab some ideas for classroom graphing activities. K-5

Eye Color Graph - Reinforce tally skills and develop basic understanding of a spreadsheet. Students will enter data and create a pie graph. Tally Chart (right-click on link > Save Target As > Save as a JPEG image to a location of your choice. Use Paint program (Start/All Programs/Accessories) or Kidpix to edit with group using LCD projector).

Decision of the Day
- In this activity second and third grade students utilize the computer to help formulate the decision of the day.  This is a great activity to use several weeks prior to an election.  Use this basic chart in Excel to gather information on a simple yes-no question that students formulate.   Students can see how easy it is to create a simple graph with one of the function keys. Excel Chart Grades 2-3

Create a Wordsearch - Students find words to go along with a particular unit of study (i.e. the Revolutionary War) and create a wordsearch using MS Excel.
