"1000 Pounds Of Hope" Staton Food Drive
Benefiting Three Square Food Bank
Monday, Nov. 17 - Friday, Nov. 21
Please help Staton Student Council collect canned and packaged food and personal items for Three Square Food Bank. The need to serve our community has never been greater, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
Starting Monday, please bring in donations from the list below and place them in the Three Square bins located in your Great Room.
Last year we donated 700 pounds of food in the spring. Let’s beat that number this year and collect over 1000 pounds of hope to help our community!

TOWN HALL MEETING: SCHOOL BUDGET CUTS
An Incredible Opportunity To Ask Questions and Get Answers
How deep will the budget cuts go? Deeper than most parents know, so here's your chance to be heard...The district will hold two town hall meetings on this topic: November 18 at Western High School, 4601 W. Bonanza Road, and November 19 at Chaparral High School, 3850 Annie Oakley Drive. Both meetings start at 6 p.m., and all interested persons are encouraged to attend one or both of these meetings.
If you can't attend the meetings, please watch this video which explains the budget challenges facing CCSD.
News Report: CCSD May Have To Cut Up To $70,000,000 more before June.

Small Acts Of Kindness Greatly Appreciated
[Parent Commentary]
Our staff is amazing, and as many of you know it's not unheard of for teachers to reach into their own pocket to purchase something for their students. Purchases that come from the kindness of their own hearts. Why not return the kindness if you can by volunteering to help in the classroom or pick up a package of construction paper next time you're at Costco or Target. A roll of paper towels, a ream of paper, or some healthy snacks - your child benefits directly from these gifts of kindness. Thanks!
