Welcome to the

Today it seems that almost everything in the Las Vegas Valley is new. When our school was built, Las Vegas was the largest city in the fastest growing state in the country! 1 Fredric W. Watson Elementary School is an important part of the amazing growth in our valley. During the same school year that we opened (the 2001-2002 school year) the District opened 16 new schools. 2 As more people move into the Valley, many choose to live on the edge of the city. In these areas, one will find the newer homes and most of the growth. Our school was built in 2001 to relieve the over-crowding from nearby schools such as Antonello and Elizondo Elementary. |
Many of the world famous places in the Las Vegas Valley are only minutes away from our school. Places like Downtown's "Fremont Street" and the Las Vegas "strip" are within a half an hour's drive. |

The goal of the Online Watson Museum is to document the history of our school. The museum shares the story of Watson Elementary School with not only our community but the world. You can browse through the various museum pages by clicking on the arrow in the lower right hand corner of each screen.
