Deanna Wright was elected to the Clark County School District Board of School Trustees in November 2008. Mrs. Wright was born and raised in Southern California, and moved to Henderson in June 1999. Mrs. Wright and her husband married in July of 1991 after a courtship that began while working together at Disneyland. Their two children have attended several local schools and are still students in CCSD. Prior to her election to the Board, Mrs. Wright served as a PTA President and was an active parent volunteer, working on issues such zoning, school safety, school start times, small schools committee, the Reflection art program and standard student attire. Mrs. Wright has served many years in the Cub Scout program and as a volunteer with teens through her church. Mrs. Wright and her family enjoy ocean sports such as snorkeling, boating and playing on the beach. She also enjoys photography, scrapbooking, board games and family vacations. Trustee Wright is looking forward to building upon the foundation that CCSD has with parents and community members. She is committed to improving education for all students in the District.
