The Family Engagement Department develops and implements programs that focus on providing CCSD families with valuable resources and learning opportunities. The mission of the department is to empower and educate families to support their child’s overall well-being and academic achievement, in addition to identifying, creating, and fostering opportunities for two-way meaningful communication with families, schools, and the community.

The Family Engagement Department implements the University of Family Learning (UFL), which provides families of students of all ages with educational resources and support. There are over 100 UFL classes in four focus areas:

  • Parents/Guardians as Teaching Partners
  • Navigating the School System
  • Involvement, Leadership, and Advocacy
  • Promoting Wellness and Development

Classes will be offered in-person and virtually at 13 Family Engagement Centers, CCSD schools, and other community sites. In addition, the Family Engagement Department offers on-demand informational videos accessible at any time. For videos, event details, and locations, check engage.ccsd.net.

Title I Family Engagement Centers are located in schools throughout CCSD. In collaboration with community and CCSD partners, the Family Engagement Centers provide opportunities to improve family capabilities and establish and nurture relationships with one common goal – student academic achievement.

The Family Engagement Centers connect families with academic and community resources, support families and students with technology, provide English classes for adults, and provide early childhood education programming.

The Title I Family Engagement Centers are open to all current and future Title I CCSD families and will open in mid-August 2025. For the locations of these centers, visit engage.ccsd.net or call 702-799-0303.

The CCSD Family Support Center offers assistance to CCSD students and their families, catering to various needs including family engagement activities, adult English classes, a pediatric health clinic, employment assistance, college counseling, and support with school registration procedures.

Additionally, the center aims to foster a welcoming environment for newcomer students and families adjusting to life in Nevada by providing District orientations, refugee supportive services, and assistance navigating procedures as a new CCSD student and family.

For additional information about all the supportive services available at the Family Support Center, visit familysc.ccsd.net or call 702-799-0072. Information is also available on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.

The Family Engagement Department hosts Family Academies throughout the academic school year. The academies will be in-person events, and all schools are encouraged to participate.

Family Academies provide an opportunity for families of all ages to engage in hands-on activities, gain valuable at-home learning strategies, and connect to District and community resources. Participants may attend sessions for adults only or sessions for families learning together. Childcare for Clark County School District students will be provided for the adult sessions.

Super Saturdays are held in collaboration with community partners throughout Southern Nevada to provide parents/guardians and families with enrichment opportunities. Announcements of the Family Academies and Super Saturdays are posted on engage.ccsd.net.

Families eligible for Title I HOPE services have additional days to obtain the required immunizations and to submit documents for proof of address. Title I HOPE may assist in obtaining an original birth certificate if a copy is not available for enrollment purposes.

The Clark County School District Community Engagement team builds connections with external partners to increase support for schools and align resources.

There are many ways to get involved, such as volunteering as a classroom speaker, supporting the Book Bus, hosting a school supply or food/clothing drive, providing academic and attendance incentives, sponsoring contests and scholarships, or adopting a school to support staff and students. Submit your interest to partner with CCSD by clicking here, visit engage.ccsd.net or contact our office at 702-799-0303 or email EngageCCSD@nv.ccsd.net for more information.

The level of collaboration between families and educators is an important predictor of student academic achievement. Parents/Guardians and family members who establish strong, positive relationships with school staff have more opportunities to learn about the education system and become better education advocates.

Who do I contact if I have a concern about my child’s school?

If there is a concern, contact the school to request an opportunity to address your concerns and have a dialogue about the issue. Concerns that are not resolved at the school level may be addressed by calling 702-799-2273, where you will be directed to the appropriate department or division.

There is also a public concern process per CCSD Policy 1213 that provides a formal investigation of the stated issue and provides the person filing the concern with a written response to that investigation. For more information, contact CCSD Team Engagement at 702-799-0303.

Parents/Guardians, students, teachers, staff, and other community members can use the “Contact Us” button on the website to submit questions, comments, or concerns from any device 24/7. The “Contact Us” option gives the community communications access to more than 20 departments across the school district and is available from CCSD’s Contact Us page.
