Welcome to Environmental Services

Our Vision

The Environmental Services Section of the Risk and Environmental Services Department for the Clark County School District delivers reliable services to ensure the environmental health and safety of students, their families, educators and staff, and the public while on Clark County School District property.

We are a responsive team with the knowledge and expertise to efficiently and professionally investigate, monitor and resolve district-wide environmental issues and complaints. We successfully develop, maintain and implement environmental compliance programs to make certain district-wide activities comply with established environmental laws and regulations, and District policies and procedures.

Our Responsibilities

We also provide administration of asbestos, hazard communication, hazardous materials and waste, and underground storage tank management programs. The Section receives, investigates, evaluates, and reports on environmental compliance issues, complaints and concerns within the District or as referred by external regulatory agencies.

Activities include:

  • Performing indoor air quality investigations
  • Collecting routine and special water quality samples
  • Asbestos, lead based paint, and mold testing and remediation oversight
