Step Advancement for Administrative and Professional-Technical Employees

The following information is provided for Administrative and Professional-Technical employees who are currently on Step F/F1 or above. Hours may only be accrued while on F/F1 or above for step advancement to G/G1, H/H1, I/I1, and J/J1 on the Administrative and Professional- Technical Salary Schedule.

Annual Deadlines

March 31 – Deadline to submit Request for Step Advancement for the next contract year. If an administrative or professional-technical employee fails to comply with this deadline, then the employee will not advance a step the next contract year. The Request for Step Advancement is provided in this link: HERE.

May 15 – Deadline for accruing professional learning hours for step advancement at the beginning of the next contract year (July 1 or August 1), with the exception of college coursework. The deadline for accruing professional learning hours for college coursework is May 31. Any professional learning hours earned after these deadlines does not count toward advancement for the following contract year.

June 15 – Deadline for submitting professional learning documentation in CCSD ELMS for step advancement at the beginning of the next contract year. Official university transcripts must be received by the Professional Growth System Department via e-transcript from the university at AdminSalary@nv.ccsd.net or at the following physical address:

For employees who submitted their Request for Step Advancement by March 31, CCSD shall provide a response in CCSD ELMS to correctly submitted professional learning documentation within eight (8) weeks from the date of submission. If an employee is short hours, the employee shall be afforded an opportunity to resubmit additional documentation of any hours earned by May 15.

Documentation Submission Deadline and Tutorials

June 15 Submission Deadline:
All documentation for professional learning hours accrued by May 15 are due in CCSD ELMS by June 15. Any professional learning submissions timestamped on or after 12:00 a.m. on June 16 will not count toward advancement for the following contract year.
