Since 2017, Clark County School District (CCSD) has hired teachers differnt countries through the J-1 Exchange Visitor Teacher Program. The District focuses its hiring of Cultural Exchange Teachers specifically in the high needs areas of Special Education, Elementary Education, Mathematics, and Science. Due to program limitations and rules, Cultural Exchange Teachers are short-term workers, and as such, CCSD must limit the total number of hires to no more than 175 teachers per school year.
