Instructions for Pre-Employment Eligibility Check

As a pre-condition of employment, or any other type of experience (e.g. volunteer, tutor, contractor, internship, etc.), a complete pre-employment eligibility check with CCSD Police Services is required in accordance with Nevada Law and Clark County School District (CCSD) regulation.

All Other Experiences (e.g. Volunteers, Tutors, Contractors, Internships, etc.)

• Employment or any other type of experience (e.g. volunteer, internship, contractor, etc.) will not officially begin until a complete CCSD pre-employment eligibility check is completed and approved by Human Resources.
• There is a non-refundable fee that must be paid prior to being fingerprinted via CCSD's Police Services website. Please print, or take a picture of, the payment receipt and submit it to the CCSD fingerprint technicians upon arrival.
• CCSD’s Police Services is located in the Edward A. Greer Education Center, 2832 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89121. Hours of operation are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and from 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Fridays.

New Licensed Employees and Substitutes

Initial educator license

NDE also requires an eligibility check as well as additional documentation (e.g. application, official transcripts, etc.).

• Upon submission of the appropriate documentation and the licensing fee, NDE will provide instructions on fingerprinting and approved vendors.
• CCSD is one of the approved vendors; however, the District only fingerprints those who are approved and recommended for hire.
  • Those applying for an initial license PRIOR to being recommended for hire by CCSD and those from out-of-state who have been recommended for hire will have to fingerprint twice – once for NDE and then again for CCSD.
  • Those applying for an initial license immediately AFTER being recommended for hire by CCSD can fingerprint once with CCSD. Please give the NDE fingerprinting form to the fingerprinting technician upon arrival.

Renewal educator license

NDE also requires an eligibility check for all license renewals as well as the appropriate documentation (e.g. application, proof of removing provisions, evidence of professional learning, etc.).

• Upon submitting the appropriate documents and licensing fee, NDE will provide instructions on fingerprinting and approved vendors; CCSD is an approved vendor. Those choosing to fingerprint with CCSD must pay a $15.00 non-refundable fee online via CCSD’s Police Services website.
