Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment: Students can earn high school credit and college credit at the same time. See CCSD Dual Enrollment Options for details.
External Credit: External credits may be granted for coursework completed outside of the Clark County School District while a student is enrolled in CCSD during the school year and over the summer. A maximum of 6 external credits can be applied toward graduation from high school. A maximum of 3 external credits can be earned in the combined core areas of English, math, science, and social studies. Examples of external credit include, but are not limited to: community service, educational travel, enrichment programs, online coursework, and more.
NOTE: All external credits require prior approval from the student's school of full-time enrollment. Please see a school counselor with questions.
Concurrent Credit: Concurrent credits are credits earned from another CCSD-sponsored school while attending a school of full-time enrollment. Students may earn extra credit within the home school, or earn extra credits by enrolling in another program/school within the district.
Full-Time Credit Retrieval Programs: Full-Time alternative school settings are available in the district. For additional information, please contact the Education Services Division.
