Traffic Bureau

The Clark County School District Police Department (CCSDPD) Traffic Bureau is committed to traffic safety and positive engagement within school zones and the surrounding roadways. By maintaining a visible presence and increasing patrols, officers can directly contribute to safer streets for students, parents, staff, and the broader community.

This mission is achieved through a combination of traffic education, enforcement, and collaborative efforts with local partners. Additionally, the Traffic Bureau benefits from traffic safety grants provided by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, further supporting our efforts to enhance safety for all.

School Crossing Guards

The primary responsibility of a school crossing guard is to help children safely cross the street as they walk or bicycle to and from school. School crossing guards control traffic when children are in an intersection and encourage safe behavior by all pedestrians.  All City Management Services manages the crossing guard program for CCSD schools across the valley.
